The drama of the earthquake and everything that follows: the pain of losing friends, relatives, one’s home, and the places you never wanted to leave. The acceptance that what happened now belongs to the past, and that life must go on. The slow return to normal. “Voce” distills all these emotions—a short film that takes us back to October 30, 2016, when a violent quake devastated the center of Sarnano, a small town in the Marche region, and to what unfolded in the days immediately afterward. A tragedy told through the eyes of those who lived it: people who lost their homes or even a parent; those who are trying to move forward, and those who still cannot. “Voce” is not just a short film, but a socio-cultural project that involved the local community—especially children—together with Sarnano’s institutions and Civil Protection.
