At the beginning of 2014 New York changed mayor: it was Bill de Blasio, the fourth Italian-American to hold this role and originally from Sant'Agata de' Goti and Grassano. Grassano is also the author of the film who, inspired by the story, leaves for Southern Italy with his father, to rediscover his roots, witness de Blasio's historic visit to the town and collect and listen to the stories of a people who have always been forced to abandon their land in search of a better future.
