Screening

Requesting private film screeners: what buyers should include

Help a rights holder assess your request with company details and a focused shortlist.

Private Screening: Discover. Evaluate. Start a conversation. Energy2Karma editorial cover.

Trailers are designed for discovery. Private screeners allow a prospective buyer to evaluate a complete work for a specific acquisition discussion. Keeping these two stages distinct protects the content and makes follow-up more useful.

Introduce your business

Provide your name, business email, company, role, company website and country. Explain the platform or channel for which you are evaluating content. If another member of your team will lead negotiations, make that clear in the message.

Share a focused shortlist

Use the catalogue to identify the films or programmes that fit your brief. Include requested rights, territories and any preferred release window. If localization or a specific runtime is essential, mention it before screening so that unsuitable options can be identified early.

Keep access within the approved purpose

Screeners are supplied for evaluation. Follow any access conditions accompanying the link and do not post, distribute or forward the material outside the authorized evaluation group. Contact the distributor if the team or intended use changes.

Turn viewing into a decision

After screening, identify the titles you would like to discuss and the information still needed. Editorial feedback, target timing and required materials provide a stronger next step than a general expression of interest.

Energy2Karma reviews requests before releasing private screening links. Receiving a screener does not reserve a title or grant distribution rights. Commercial terms, territories and permitted use are agreed separately.
