In 2020, Puglia is a collapsing militarized border due to the thousands of Italians who invaded it in the space of a few months. The profound economic crisis causes daily riots and popular demonstrations. Stilitano, after having served three years in prison for aiding and abetting illegal immigration, is now under house arrest and will find himself together with a group of men waiting to get on a dinghy to reach the much desired Albania, in search of a better life .
