Gianluca, terminally ill due to a rare pathology caused by "sleeping cells", is assisted by his brother Massimiliano, who discovers an old study according to which intense emotions could reawaken the cells. Driven by brotherly love, Massimiliano tries this path, also risking his family stability. Andrea Castoldi's film explores the emotional involvement of those who care for a loved one, highlighting how, despite the passivity imposed by the hospital environment, the affectionate presence of family members is a crucial support.
