Golia

The film features a stellar cast, including Mirko Frezza, Giorgio Colangeli, Pietro De Silva, Giobbe Covatta, Lucia Batassa, and Silvia Grasso. 1990. Golia is a former rugby champion suffering from senile dementia. Every day, he wakes up convinced that he is still young and traveling with his team, only to be reminded that he is living in a nursing home, having lost all contact with his wife and children. Alessandro, another resident of the facility, is a former professor of ancient literature who is paraplegic. His last ambition is to help Golia escape from the nursing home and reunite him with his family, overcoming the oppressive staff and proving to the institutions that old age and illness are not valid excuses to define a man's social uselessness.
