Destini

The destinies are those of Mauro (Stefano Pesce) and Fabio (Simone Montedoro), friends during high school. The events of life cause them to drift apart, then they find each other again and get lost again. But this time, years later - the film is set partly in the 1950s, partly in the 1970s and in the present day - there are families, children. And the complicated relationships, which are intertwined. Just like destinies. This is in short the story that Luciano Luminelli, Roman, but with Lucanian roots (on his mother's side, from Avigliano), architect and above all film director, wanted to tell in his latest film. Destini is an emotional and evocative story that tells and expresses deep feelings and the sense of appearance, touching on important social issues such as disability, homosexuality and friendship. This is the main theme that runs throughout the entire work. The film is set almost exclusively in Veneto and unfolds between the cities of Treviso, Padua, Cittadella, Asiago, Villorba with a small part also set in Rome. It is here that, between the school desks in the 70s, the friendship between the two protagonists was born which will culminate in the romantic relationship between the protagonists' children.
