TUTTO LISCIO
Tuttoliscio are a heterogeneous middle-aged band from Romagna: there is the bassist Jackson (in honor of Michael), the stuttering keyboardist Melilli, the trumpeter Celli, the Pirata on drums and the Zigarin on sax and clarinet, the Genoese accordionist Belin, known as "the enlightened one of the group" due to his conversion to Buddhism, and finally the leader Brando, who everyone calls Brando Brown in homage to James Brown whom his musician grandfather venerated as a pagan deity. Brando's father was also an admirer of dance hall music and continues to be an optimistic presence convinced that "no one is born bad", insisting on encouraging his now fifty-year-old son even if Tuttoliscio can no longer get signed or even paid, and Brando has been living in a trailer for a long time. Brando's ex-wife, Anna, a singer who, despite having won Castrocaro, changed jobs to support their daughter Giulia, begs her ex-husband to find a real job instead of continuing to dream of success with the band. But it will be Giulia herself who, together with bassist Jackson, has a promising idea: enrolling Tuttoliscio in a folk music contest in which Raoul Casadei, the king of smooth, also participates. Will our heroes break out of their downward trend and shine on stage again?
